HOST (Help Our Students Travel)
The Feinberg HOST program is an important new resource for fourth-year MD students who are seeking information about residency training in a particular city. Your generous participation helps reduce the cost and stress of these vital interviews.
How It Works
Alumni hosts indicate which services they would like to provide, which can include housing, transportation to/from the airport and/or interview, a tour of the area, a meeting in person or via phone/Skype to answer questions about residencies, specialties, local medical community, or introduction to other medical colleagues.
When a student requests you to be their host, you will receive an email with a personal note from the student and details about her/his travel dates. Depending on your availability during those dates, you can either accept or decline the request, and include a response to the student. Upon confirmation of a match, the student will contact you to arrange specifics for the visit; your contact information remains confidential until you approve a student request.
HOST also allows you to control how many---as few as 1 and as many as 10---student requests you are willing to consider at one time, in order to prevent you from receiving more than you wish.
Even if you are not able to host a student in your home, there are several other ways you can help them during this pivotal stage of their careers, as well as other opportunities to reconnect with your medical alma mater.

We are excited to welcome you to the Feinberg HOST program in any way you wish to participate. Thank you so very much for supporting our wonderful medical students!
Any host who is successfully matched with a student(s) will be welcomed into the Nathan Smith Davis Service Society in the following academic year, in recognition of your generous volunteer service to Feinberg.
