Descripción:

Geared for Northwestern community members with several years of existing experience and who do not directly report to a boss with a “C” in their title, this 90-minute, online mentor circle we'll discuss strategies to help you get noticed by, work with and rewarded by C-Suite (e.g., chief executive officer, chief financial officer, chief information officer, chief marketing officer, etc.) members. This mentor circle will discuss the value (often hidden) people can provide to senior leaders, avoiding common pitfalls and how to prepare for success. The C-Suite has significant control over compensation, career progression and assignments, so the ability to develop professional relationships with them can be a significant career catalyst and important source of knowledge, mentoring and support.

Jamie Andelman, CFA graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in Economics and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences in 1995. He later earned finance, management and organizations, marketing and strategy degrees from the Kellogg School of Management. His career has spanned multiple industries including finance, technology and media. He is currently an entrepreneur, working in the edutech space. Over the prior dozen years, he focused on investor relations and strategy, after spending multiple years as an investment banker and financial consultant. While facilitating this mentor circle, Mr. Andelman will leverage his training experience as well as his deep history with dozens of C-suiters throughout his career at a variety of firms ranging from startups to leading global companies.
