Is a Career in Medicine Right For Me? | Mentor Circle

Program: Northwestern Network Mentorship Program
Start: November 5, 2018, 5:30 PM CDT
End: November 5, 2018, 7:00 PM CDT
Location: Health Professions Advising | 1940 Sheridan Rd
Host name: Dr. Micah Eimer FSM'98

Description:

If it seems like some of the most important decisions in life are made with a paucity of information - then Dr. Micah Eimer agrees. In this mentorship experience he hopes to be able to allow students to ask difficult questions about becoming a doctor. Questions such as: How do I know if I will like it? Is it imprudent to run up six figures of student debt? What are the steps to becoming a real doctor? How do you know which specialty to choose? When do you start making money? If this is a disaster can I change my mind? Can you have a family? Does it matter what medical school I go to?

The ideal participant in this mentor circle is a student who is considering a career in medicine but still has lots of questions.
