Welcome!

The Northwestern Network Mentorship Program, created by the Northwestern Alumni Association (NAA), is an easy-to-use online platform designed to foster meaningful mentorship opportunities across the global Northwestern community. The program is open to students and alumni from all class years, programs, and schools. Through the platform, student and alumni mentees can search for and connect with alumni mentors who are passionate about helping others navigate their career paths, explore new opportunities, or consider graduate school. Mentors are Northwestern alumni who volunteer to share their experience, offer guidance, and help mentees build professional skills and networks. The program also provides alumni mentors with a rewarding way to stay engaged with the Northwestern community and support fellow students and alumni.

How It Works

Register and Complete a Profile
Students and alumni from all class years, programs, and schools are welcome to participate. To get started, log into the Northwestern Network Mentorship Program’s online platform and complete a profile. This takes approximately 15–25 minutes.

Choose Your Role
Alumni may participate as mentors, mentees, or both. Students may participate as mentees only.

Search and Connect
Mentees use the platform to search for mentors who align with their career interests and submit a request. Mentors can accept or decline requests. Mentors remain anonymous until a connection is accepted.

Set Expectations Together
Once a connection is established, mentor and mentee agree on goals and communication preferences, including how often and by what method they’ll meet—whether in person or virtually. Mentors may accept up to three mentees at a time; mentees may have up to two mentors.

Meet as often as possible and share your experience with the Northwestern Alumni Association to help improve the program.
